Preserving Bone After Extraction: Practical Tips for the General Dentist

Hardev M. Singh, DMD

October 2026 Course - Expires Wednesday, October 31st, 2029

Web Only

Abstract

This webinar will review the biologic consequences of tooth extraction, highlight atraumatic extraction techniques designed to preserve the facial plate and surrounding soft tissues, and discuss when ridge preservation is indicated to reduce post-extraction ridge resorption. Attendees will discover a simplified, predictable ridge preservation protocol using a Bioactive Composite Graft for routine extraction sockets, helping clinicians maintain ridge dimensions while streamlining treatment. In addition, the course will provide guidance on recognizing more complex defects that require referral for advanced ridge augmentation procedures rather than routine socket preservation.
