The Biological Turbo: Accelerate Bone Regeneration via RAP and Bioactive Composite Grafts

Nabeel Cajee, DDS, MICOI

June 2026 Course - Expires Saturday, June 30th, 2029

Web Only

Abstract

In traditional bone grafting, we often treat the body as a passive recipient of material. This webinar challenges that paradigm by exploring the Regional Acceleratory Phenomenon (RAP) a transient state of high-tissue turnover and increased angiogenesis triggered by surgical stimulus. Dr. Nabeel Cajee will demonstrate how to intentionally activate this "biological turbo" to significantly shorten the healing timeline. The session focuses on the synergy between RAP and unique bioactive composite grafts. Unlike traditional bovine or synthetic grafts that can lead to long-term "sand" encapsulation, the resorption profile of bioactive composite grafts is synchronized with the RAP-induced metabolic surge, resulting in faster transition to vital, load-bearing bone.

Learning Objectives:

  • Master the science of the Regional Acceleratory Phenomenon, including the cellular mechanisms that drive accelerated bone modeling and remodeling following cortical injury.
  • Analyze the mineralogical advantages of calcium phosphate crystals, specifically their non-ceramic nature and how their porosity facilitates the rapid vascularization required during a RAP event.
  • Discover surgical "decortication" and stimulus techniques designed to maximize the RAP response while minimizing patient morbidity.
  • Evaluate case studies comparing traditional grafting timelines against the RAP and composite graft protocol, focusing on bone density and the time-to-implant placement.

Presenter Qualifications:

Dr. Nabeel Cajee is an international speaker and implantologist specializing in the intersection of digital fabrication and tissue regeneration. He maintains a private practice in Newport Beach, California, where he integrates advanced clinical technology with biology-driven workflows. A Master of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists and a "Top 40 Under 40" honoree, Dr. Cajee serves as the Dental Ambassador for 3D Heals and is a founding faculty member at Torque Academy. His clinical focus centers on leveraging advanced biomaterials and physiological triggers to simplify complex regenerative procedures, providing predictable, biology-driven outcomes for patients.

Disclosures:

Dr. Cajee has received an honorarium from Impladent for his preparation and presentation of this program.
